As I also continue to roll as US*99.5's afternoon driver, the site will remain in its current form, which is:

Continuous improvement - yesterday afternoon, Newsletter Subscribers received an article detailing how Generation Y would make radio relatable to them. Consulting to the future of the medium...

On that note, the lack of recent newsletters ... aside from a new baby in the house, my web host has now made e-mailing groups much more difficult, and I’m not that technologically inclined concerning scripts.
Do you know anyone who might be able to help me with learning about / installing / maintaining PHP scripts, or a better solution for this newsletter? If so, click the Feedback / Contact link on the index-bar and fire away!

This and that - the AC battle in Chicago continues to heat up between WILV-FM 100.3, WLIT-FM 93.9, and newcomer WCFS-FM 105.9 ... some of their recent tweaks:
WLIT-FM 93.9 has brought back the No Repeat Workday from 8a-5p Monday through Friday, promising "an even better variety for your workday"
WILV-FM 100.3 has expanded their 8 O'Clock Music Marathon from 8 songs in a row, to a full hour of commercial free music each weekday
WILV-FM 100.3 has also added Club LOVE Primetime at 9pm weekdays with Brian Middleton, billed as the "hottest dance mixes"
Quick hits - scanning the dial:
With former WERV-FM 95.9 afternoon personality Scott Childers shuffling to a similar slot at sister WSSR-FM 96.7, Maggie Peterson moves back to mornings on the southwest-suburban Hot AC, replacing Todd Boss. Look for the new slots to be in place tomorrow
In addition to a longer on-air program, WKSC-FM 103.5 morning personality Drex has started video blogging on the station's website, www.1035KissFM.com. Dubbed "DreXVizzzion", listeners can now watch him live from his home Monday through Thursday at 1pm
WIIL-FM 95.1 has expanded PD John Perry's midday show from 10a-3p, following the departure of Katie Kruz
WTMX-FM 101.9 weekend host Jon Hemmer has re-joined WXLC-FM 102.3 for similar duties (he previously hosted middays there)

A starved radio public - early yesterday morning, Newsletter Subscribers received an article detailing how listeners' radio habits shift during the end of the year, and how to capitalize on that shift the other 11 months.
Did you get it? If not, sign up now (it's free) and you will!
Time to re-position, again - as this week marks the beginning of the Winter 2007 book, it appears WLIT-FM 93.9 has officially switched their attack focus from WILV-FM 100.3 to WCFS-FM 105.9.
Dropping "Chicago's Feel Good Workday Station," WLIT is now imaging itself as "Today's Lite Rock & Your All-Time Favorites" (vs. WCFS's "Today's Soft Music").
An imager heard before Stevie Wonder's 1971 track "If You Really Love Me" on WLIT this morning:
Here's another song you know all the words to, and the Lite is the only station playing it!
Less is more - reducing clutter for 2008, WKSC-FM 103.5 has eliminated the 10a-12n on-air slot of MD Smash, in favor of extending the other shows on both sides of it.
Morning personality Drex now runs 5-11a weekdays (with the last half-hour a repeat of topics heard earlier in the morning), and midday host Nina Chantele moves up an hour from 11a-3p. Smash retains his MD title, but shuffles to control board operator for the morning show.
